Ramui webblog control panel

Ramui Webblog script has a very user friendly control panel. As webmaster or script administrator you must login to your control panel before you create a new webpage or access other features of this script. So after installation complete your first task is to login to your control panel and get familiar with it.

How to Login:

To login into the script control panel please open the login page from the script home or index page. At the top of that page notice the link "Admin"; click on it to open login page. Alternatively you can open login page by the following URL:
http://yourdomain/blogroot/fw_blog/admin/index.php, where blogroot is the folder where you install the script.

Fill-up the login form with your unique login name and password as you provide during installation process. Now you enter into your control panel. Please remember that you have only three chances per session to provide correct login information. If you fail to do so please restart your browser to start a new session and try to login again.

Forget password:

First of all you know that if you forget your login user name or password there is no way to recover them. But you can assign a new set of user name and password to login your control panel. The required steps are as follows.

  1. Click on the link 'Forget password' on your control panel login page.
  2. A new form will appear asking your new login information.
  3. After filling that form and submitting it you will be prompted to download your new login information file newlogin.php.
  4. Please save that file at your computer and upload it to the /fw_blog/database/ directory using FTP program.
  5. After uploading this file open or reload the login page. Your new login information will be updated.
  6. If problem arise please restart browser window to start a new session.

Inside your control panel:

After logging in you shall enter into your website control panel. Please see the image below what inside your control panel.

Inside your control panel the vertical menu contains the most frequently used links. The main pan (at the right side) contains all the functionality of this script.

Initial settings:

At the bottoms of the right pan click on the "Settings" icon to open the script setting page.

  • Site name: Select a suitable name of your website; this name will be added at the end of titles of the WebPages. If your site name is "web hosting" and you have created a webpage of title "PHP hosting" then the final title appear when open on browser window is "PHP hosting : web hosting".
  • Default author: Please put your real name here. This name will be used as author name in atom feed.
  • Website menu: Please do not select the option "Generate menu on fly" before you create few pages; otherwise the menu column on your pages will remain blank.

Auto responder: Back to the admin center menu; click on the auto responder icon to edit auto responder message. The purpose of auto responder is to send an automatic response email when a viewer leaves a message for you by using your website contact form. A very common of message is:
We receive your message you will be replied within 24 hours.

To turn off this feature leave the auto responder field completely blank.
